CAF-training-in-Lib First Since 2014: Liberia Hosts Final CAF A License Module with International Coaches

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) completes the final module of the prestigious CAF A License coaching course. This intensive phase brings together a select group of coaches from Liberia, The Gambia, and Zambia, all poised to earn the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) highest coaching certification.

The current CAF A License course marks a significant milestone for Liberian football, being the first time the elite-level training has been hosted in the country since 2014. This achievement underscores Liberia’s renewed commitment to developing top-tier coaching talent capable of elevating the standard of play both domestically and on the continental stage. Throughout its modules, the course has provided participating coaches with in-depth training across critical areas, including advanced coaching methodologies, sophisticated tactical analysis, effective leadership techniques, vital communication skills, and comprehensive team management strategies.

Guiding the aspiring coaches through this culminating module is CAF Elite Instructor Selam Kebede, a highly respected figure in African football education. He is ably supported by fellow Elite Instructor Abraham Mebratu of Ethiopia, ensuring that participants receive instruction from some of the continent’s most experienced coaching educators. The program’s rigorous curriculum and practical sessions are designed to equip coaches with the advanced knowledge and tools necessary to lead professional teams and national squads.

The successful rollout of this CAF A License course reflects the LFA’s strategic vision for football development, aligning with CAF’s broader mandate to enhance coaching standards across Africa. As these coaches conclude their training, they are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of football in their respective nations, bringing new expertise and tactical sophistication to the game.
