MONROVIA, Liberia – The Liberia National Police (LNP) has released its official Traffic Enforcement Report for May 2025, revealing a significant crackdown on road safety violations. According to the report from the LNP’s Ticketing Unit, a total of 4,900 traffic tickets were issued during the month.
The intensified enforcement efforts have also translated into substantial revenue for the government. Of the tickets issued, 2,455 fines have already been paid, resulting in LD$5,067,200 and US$33,562 being deposited directly into the national account.
The LNP is urging all drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and to promptly settle any outstanding fines, emphasizing that this is crucial for maintaining order and reducing accidents on the nation’s roads. “Road safety is a shared responsibility,” the police stated in their advisory, calling on the public to cooperate in keeping Liberia’s streets secure and organized for everyone. The figures underscore the LNP’s commitment to ensuring a safer driving environment across the country.
