Dominic Calvert-Lewin has officially confirmed he will leave Everton at the end of June when his contract expires, bringing an end to a nine-year spell at the club. The 28-year-old striker announced his departure in a personal message shared via Instagram on Sunday, calling the decision “incredibly difficult” but necessary for the next chapter of his career.

Calvert-Lewin joined Everton from Sheffield United in 2016 and went on to make 274 appearances, scoring 71 goals in all competitions. He became one of the club’s most consistent performers, notably shining under manager Carlo Ancelotti during the 2019–20 and 2020–21 Premier League seasons.

However, recent years have been plagued by injuries and inconsistent form. In the 2024–25 campaign, he made 26 Premier League appearances and scored three goals. Despite his limited output, he remained a fan favorite and was often praised for his commitment and leadership on the pitch.

His departure comes amid a period of transition for Everton, who are preparing for their final season at Goodison Park before moving to their new stadium. The club is undergoing a squad overhaul under returning manager David Moyes, with multiple senior players also set to leave following the expiration of their contracts.

Calvert-Lewin has not yet announced his next move, though reports suggest interest from clubs in both the Premier League and abroad.

“I’ve grown from a boy into a man at this football club,” Calvert-Lewin wrote. “It’s been an honor to wear the badge and play in front of the Goodison crowd. Now it’s time for a new challenge.”

Everton fans and former teammates have since posted tributes online, thanking the forward for his contributions over the years. His exit marks the end of an era for the Toffees and leaves a notable gap in the squad ahead of the 2025–26 season.
