Liberia National Red Cross Honors Outgoing ECOWAS Representative

Ambassador Josephine A. Nkrumah Recognized for Outstanding Service

Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRC) today bid farewell to the outgoing ECOWAS Resident Representative to Liberia, H.E. Ambassador Josephine A. Nkrumah, presenting her with a plaque and certificate of appreciation in recognition of her exceptional service.

Ambassador Nkrumah was commended for her steadfast commitment to strengthening Liberia–ECOWAS relations, her tireless advocacy for humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities, and her dedication to fostering regional solidarity.

In remarks during the presentation, LNRC officials highlighted the Ambassador’s significant contributions, noting that her leadership had touched countless lives, empowered communities, and advanced regional cooperation throughout her tenure.

“On behalf of our partners, members, volunteers, staff, and beneficiaries, we express our profound gratitude to Ambassador Nkrumah for her remarkable leadership and humanitarian spirit,” the Red Cross said. “Her legacy of compassion and solidarity will continue to inspire us all.”

Ambassador Nkrumah leaves Liberia with a record of fostering cooperation between the National Red Cross, local communities, and regional partners, ensuring that humanitarian programs reached those most in need and strengthening Liberia’s position within the ECOWAS framework.
