In a high-level strategic session in Monrovia, Education Minister Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah hosted a visiting delegation from the State of Maryland, USA, to assess practical applications for AI-powered instructional software. The demonstration featured tools designed to assist teachers with lesson planning, foster critical thinking skills, and support problem-solving frameworks tailored to STEM disciplines.

The engagement operationalizes key provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the State of Maryland and Liberia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs approximately one year ago, moving bilateral commitments into actionable sector programs.

While welcoming the technological demonstration, Minister Jallah emphasized that high-tech interventions must align with local infrastructure and institutional readiness before scaling nationwide. She stressed four mandatory parameters for adoption: strict national ownership, seamless inter-agency coordination, rigorous teacher training, and equitable access for rural and under-resourced schools.

The Ministry plans to coordinate with relevant government bodies and technical partners to determine how these AI solutions can be adapted into sustainable, policy-backed interventions that directly address Liberia's educational priorities.
