According to the statement released by the Press and Public Affairs Division on November 7, 2026, the restriction is intended to ensure public safety, protect life and property, prevent obstruction of construction activities, and allow contractors to carry out their work without interference.
Authorities have strongly advised all persons to immediately remove their goods and vacate the designated construction areas, emphasizing that no individual is permitted to use any portion of the construction site as a vending or trading space.
The Liberia National Police warned that anyone found violating the directive will face enforcement action, including arrest and confiscation of goods, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Police leadership urged all vendors and members of the public to cooperate with authorities, respect the construction restrictions, and avoid activities that could endanger lives or disrupt ongoing development works, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring road safety under the motto: "Your safety is our concern. Let us all cooperate for a safer community."
